Davidson’s Plum

With their low sugar content and tart acidic flavour, Davidson plums are not commonly eaten fresh. This, however, makes them perfect for use in jams, chutneys, and sauces.

Rich in anthocyanins, they also have higher antioxidant capacity than blueberries and contain vitamin E, lutein, folate, zinc, magnesium, and calcium. The skin in particular contains the richest source of nutrients.

Manuka Honey

Manuka honey is used as a natural ointment for wounds of all kinds.

It has been hailed as a go-to germ fighter in an age of resistance to conventional antibiotics.

It’s the product of the New Zealand scrub plant that gives it its name. When bees pollinate from this plant, their honey is more potent than standard honey bee honey. This is because it has a higher concentration of methylglyoxal (MGO).

Kakadu Plum

The Kakadu plum has been found to have the highest quantity of vitamin C compared to any other fruit – reportedly 100 times greater than oranges!

Pale olive-green in colour, the fruit has five times greater antioxidant capacity than blueberries, also containing vitamin E, folate, zinc, magnesium, and calcium.

Quandong

Also known as the desert peach, the quandong has a yellow to red, dry-textured fruit with tart, slightly sour and salty flavour.

They are rich in antioxidants, contain high levels of folate and Vitamin E and are a good source of magnesium, calcium, zinc, and iron. The fruit is often sun dried, used in jams, sauces, juices or desserts.s
